How long does my dog play in the group?
They typically will go out multiple times a day for around 30 minutes at a time. The time can vary depending on the weather.
Do they go outside when it is raining?
We do have multiple covered areas outside for rainy days so they can still socialize and have fun. Weather conditions are factored into the daily schedule to best accommodate the dogs.
Can I watch my dog on camera?
Clients do not have access to our camera viewing. We do have a camera system that is monitored 24 hours a day and we receive notifications on our devices.
What is a typical day of daycare?
Your dog will go outside multiple times throughout the day to play, socialize, and enjoy daily exercise. Each dog is given a kennel for them to relax indoors between sessions.

Do you offer half-day daycare?
Yes, any daycare visit less than 5 hours is considered a half day.
What are daycare packages? Can I use them during boarding?
You can purchase multiple full days of daycare, which will save you money. They can be used while boarding, just let us know with your reservation. You cannot apply daycare package days for boarding costs. All packages expire 6 months from the purchase date.
What do I need to bring for my dog's stay?
Leash, Harness, Collar, Food, and Medications.
What time do I need to pick up my dog to avoid another day’s charge?
Before 10 AM
What time can I drop off/pick up my dog?
Anytime Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 8-10 AM and 4-6 PM.
Can I bring my dog’s food?
We encourage it to avoid any upset stomachs with a change in diet. We can also refrigerate or freeze if necessary. Our in-house feedings are $3 per meal.
Can I bring my dog’s bed or blanket?
No. We do not accept bedding of any kind. We provide bedding for every dog.
What is my dog doing when I’m gone?
Going outside with our employees multiple times a day and making sure your dog has the best visit possible.
Does my dog go out with other dogs?
Yes, if you have added Playtime Plus to your boarding reservation.
Can my dog attend daycare during boarding?
Yes, they can, just sign up for Playtime Plus and we will match your dog with a playgroup of dogs with compatible size and temperament.
Can you send me a photo or video of my dog?
We’d be happy to do that for you, just add a Photo to your reservations as an add-on.
What is kennel cough? How concerned should I be if they get sick?
Kennel cough, also known as canine infectious Tracheobronchitis is a contagious respiratory disease. It is characterized by inflammation of the trachea and bronchi. This condition can be caused by various bacteria and viruses, with one of the most common culprits being the bacterium Bordetella bronchiseptica.
While kennel cough often resolves on its own, it should not be taken lightly, especially in puppies, elderly dogs, or dogs with pre-existing health issues, as it can sometimes lead to more severe complications like pneumonia.
Why did I get food returned?
This could be due to a decreased appetite due to anxiety, new surroundings, being hot, or lack of appetite away from home. We provide every dog their meals as determined by you the owner, but if they’re not eating, we won’t waste food by adding it to the uneaten portion.
Do you offer in-home pet sitting?
Yes, a Dog Daze staff member cares for your pet in your home while you are away. We offer single and double drop-in visits per day. They will let your pet out to go to the bathroom, refill fresh water and food, clean up any messes, and give meds when needed. You choose from activities while we are there, from walking around the neighborhood, playing with them inside or outside, or simply providing companionship while you’re away. This is a drop-in service and not an overnight stay at your home.
When can I start training?
Dog Daze recommends training as early as possible. Puppies are ready to begin on-the-leash training as early as 14 - 16 weeks of age. We gladly take any age for training.
What type of training do you offer?
We train dogs in all types of methods of training. We train the best way for you to communicate with your dog. We are balanced trainers who train in the LIMA principles of training. Each training session is tailored to your dog specifically. Visit our training page for more details.
What is City or Park Exploration?
This is a great activity that allows your dog to explore a city park, downtown, Congaree National Park, or our wonderful access to natural waterfronts.
Can I call and get updates on the training progress?
We encourage all owners to call and email if they would like updates and pictures on the training progress.
How often is my dog being trained each day?
Training sessions can last 10 - 45 minutes. Sessions are 2 - 4 times a day depending on the training criteria that day.
What does my dog do when they are not in training?
Your dog will spend time throughout the day in our daycare groups socializing with other dogs, interacting with other employees, Chase & Catch sessions, going out alone for individual exercise, resting, eating meals, and sleeping.
Do I have follow-up lessons or help if needed?
Yes, you will be given follow-up lessons and you are welcome to contact us concerning any advice or assistance you may need at any time.

When do I pay?
You are encouraged to pre-purchase with a credit card after scheduling the desired training service. Private lessons can be paid for after each lesson.
What vaccinations are required?
Rabies and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). Lepto and canine Influenza are optional.
Can my dog receive a bath before pick up?
Of Course, when you drop them off, just tell us the approximate time for pickup and we will make it happen. It’s a simple bath with no fur trimming and costs $25.
Is someone there taking care of the dogs every day?
We are here 365 days a year rain or shine.
What is the difference between Playtime Plus and Dog Daycare?
Playtime Plus is an added daycare socializing option during boarding and Dog Daycare is socializing during the week and going home before the end of business hours.
What is the difference between Playtime Plus and VIP add-ons?
Playtime Plus is socializing with other dogs, and VIP is socializing, playing one-on-one with our employees only.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
We contact the owner immediately followed by your Veterinarian.
Are dogs in heat allowed? What happens if my dog goes in heat?
Unfortunately, we cannot due to the safety of your dog and others. If your dog goes into heat, they will be isolated from all other dogs and you will be contacted immediately to discuss the next steps needed to be taken.

We are closed for drop off and pick up on holidays but, we are here 365 days a year taking care of your furry friend.
Can someone else drop off or pick up?
Yes. Just let us know who the person is, and since payment information is saved, we can run the payment and email a receipt for your convenience.
Do you offer a drop-off or pick-up service?
We offer a safe and secure Taxi service, you would just need to schedule at least 48 hours ahead of time.
Do you offer a military discount?
We offer a 10% military discount with a valid ID.
How can I make a reservation?
Going to our online portal through our webpage you can log in and easily make future reservations. If you are a first-time client, you will need to follow the steps to register yourself and your dog online; then you will have access to all of our services.
